What is Sauce Code?
I like to write about technology, with a particular emphasis on the business of technology. So that’s what I’ll be writing about here. I plan to focus mainly on discussing the tech issues of the day. My goal is to make them understandable to a tech-curious lay audience.
Who are you and why should I care what you think?
My name is Matthew Gertner. I’m a computer scientist who grew up in the U.S. and moved to Europe in 1992. I’ve been living in Prague since 1998.
For most of that time I’ve been an entrepreneur setting up and running software startups. In between startups, I’ve spent a few years working as a freelance software developer.
I’ve been thinking and writing about technology for over 15 years.
None of this means you should necessarily care what I think, but you’re here now so you might as well read a few of my posts!
Why is it called Sauce Code?
Because I like bad puns. My current company, which I founded in 2010, is called Salsita, which is Spanish for “little sauce”.
Get it?
